Thorpe Meadows Residents' Company Limited

This is the website of Thorpe Meadows Residents Co Ltd. This is a community of 33 Shareholders who jointly own a Marina of approx. 0.6 hectares (1.5 acres), comprising a waterway, banks and pontoon moorings. The Marina is connected to the River Nene in Peterborough and can be viewed on Google using the post code PE3 6GA. It can also be viewed on the Environment Agency website in the same way.

19 February 2025.  In response to the sighting of rats in the Marina area, the management team posted an advisory notice on the community WhatsApp forum. The notice asked residents to ensure that if they are feeding ducks, swans and other wild life in the Marina that no food is left on the banks, hedges or hard surfaces that could attract rats. In order to determine the scale of any infestation, the notice also asked residents to report any sightings of rats to a member of the management team or on the community WhatsApp forum.

20 March 2025. The management team has recently delivered a reminder to all residents of the company’s current agreement regarding the maintenance of the marina banks and attached bar fences. In short, the banks and fences are the property of the Thorpe Meadows Residents Company Ltd. Their maintenance is the responsibility of the company’s management team, although its has been agreed at previous AGMs that residents can, at their own expense, also maintain their bank under certain conditions as noted in the company’s Rules & Regulations. The management team also wanted to remind residents that if they are unhappy about any of the work being undertaken by the company’s maintenance contractors, such problems should be taken up with a member of the management team and not with the tradesmen directly.
